Butterfly Symmetry

The kindergarten classes learned about symmetry while decorating their butterflies. They drew shapes and designs, and made sure the butterfly was the same on both sides.

Texture Frogs

1st graders have been learning about the Elements of Art these first few weeks of school. For this project, they used plastic sheets to apply textures to paper. Students drew a frog, traced it with black marker, and then copied the textures with a crayon rubbing.
